This week's final podcast in the series will feature a guest play entitled 'The Squatter' by award-winning Jamaican writer and playwright Michael Reckord.
In this full-length one-act play, the writer explores a range of social psychological issues relating to social interactions, social perception and social influence. The play examines how these issues impact and are impacted by some of the main agents of socialization including family, school, peer groups, religion, economic and legal systems and the media. The result is a play exploring: Attitudes,
Violence & Aggression, Discrimination, Prejudice & Stereotypes, Group behaviour, Prosocial Behaviour, Self & Social Identity, Interpersonal Relationships and Social Influence.
Mr Reckord is a previous winner of both the Regional and Overall Commonwealth Short Story Competition.
